About

Xantippe Resources (ASX:XTC) aims to be a provider of sustainable, high purity battery grade lithium, utilising new technologies and leveraging strong local partnerships to develop its Carachi lithium brine project in Argentina.

Located in the heart of the ‘Lithium Triangle’, Xantippe currently holds a number of options on lithium tenements, totaling 12,500Ha (125 km2), in Northern Argentina. The Carachi project is located proximal to lithium brine explorer and developer, Lake Resources (ASX: LKE) and are highly prospective for lithium.

Xantippe benefits from the expertise of local partners and has long-standing relationships with local landowners and local government. The Company is deeply committed to working with the landowners to develop a sustainable lithium company that benefits the local community, exemplified by our “local first” policy.

Xantippe is developing Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technologies to extract lithium brine. This technology has shown that lithium can be processed more quickly and in an environmentally responsible way. Specifically, DLE reduces the footprint of evaporation ponds, decreases production times compared with conventional brine operation, increases recoveries from around 40 percent to over 80 percent, lowers usage of fresh water, plus lowers reagent usage and increases product purity. Xantippe will develop the technology in collaboration with a technology team in Korea and the Company believes that the technology will present itself to be commercially viable and cost-effective solution.

In 2018, the Company acquired a substantial foothold in the Southern Cross region of West Australian where it holds ~ 190km2 (19,000 Ha) of tenements, prospective for gold and lithium-bearing pegmatites.
